Tiling Waterproofing Grouting

  • Is the size of the notch in the tillers trowel important?

The size trowel will determine the adhesive thickness.
The bigger the tile the more adhesive you will need to bond it properly.
Remember that a 10mm trowel will result in a 5mm bed depth because the beads of adhesive join together when the tile is pushed into place.
The thickness of adhesive and coverage are both vital to ensure a good bond.
The bigger or heavier the tile the thicker the bed needed.
