Tiling Waterproofing Grouting

  • Why can`t I just wet down the surface instead of priming?

Whilst wetting down the surface is better than just tiling onto the dry surface, priming is designed to help produce a better bond. Primer can seal in minor dust that is difficult to remove and it also helps make sure the surface is as consistent as possible.  Davco laboratory tests have shown that even under ideal conditions a better bond is achieved when the surface is primed.
